ATTACK OF THE PIZZA WEEK

YUP! Sorry to say it... but I will not be able to have pizza for a little while... if ever. (JK that will never happen)

I just want to let you know that when (if) you ask missionaries what they would like for dinner... they really can't tell you! Why?! Because... if their experience is anything like mine, we get the same thing like 5 days in a row and then won't get it again for like 5 weeks. Whether it's Mexican night after night after night, or PIZZA....it is a real struggle. No matter how much you like the food haha.

With that, I need to change and express my appreciation for getting fed a lot because it is a real blessing and I need to stop complaining. Monday, they (the family that had signed up to feed us) got sick, so they were nice enough to bring a pizza over. Tuesday/Wednesday was my own fault because I had left overs. Which I would have NEVER done if I would have known what the future held for me. Which was two more members treating us to pizza. hahaha. Anyway, enough on the pizza rant.
companionship selfie :)

Oh yeah, except my companion's mom has been scheming with me and a member to get us a pizza for her 1/2 way mark and I will make sure I celebrate well and enjoy that pizza. THEN... NO MORE PIZZA haha. Unless I have to. (That's a saying I say a lot. "Unless I have to" haha what a great attitude I have... right?!)

Anyway, enough on food. This was one of the BEST weeks of my whole mission! At least numbers wise! We taught most I have ever taught in my whole mission! It was amazing! It was such a fun and busy week and we really tried to work as hard as we could! :))))
MIRACLES HAPPEN! Seriously. When we use our FB time effectively, and pray sincerely that we have lessons, it happens! And that helps us reach our goals so much! It is most definitely not all about the numbers but it does help us to see if we are using our time wisely or not.

THIS WEEK SERIOUSLY WAS AMAZING. And I'm not just saying that. I absolutely love this area. The people are great. They are so nice and accepting. And when they don't want to accept the gospel, they do it with so much grace and do it in their lil lil accents that I can't help but love. Their accents are the best! Speaking of accents, we have been teaching our investigator, J, at a member's house who is Scottish and her accent is the BEST!

We got to see them three times this week for the youth waffle night (YUM), our lesson at their home, and dinner. They are one of my favorite families. When we extended them a commitment to read from PMG, he hesitated and put his hand to his face and it was soooo funny. She was more than cooperative and I tried to lessen the commitment and say they only had to read one Christlike attribute, and he was just over there huffing about it. And she said she would read it to him so that they could say they completed what we asked of them. If that isn't member missionary work... I don't know what is. ;) haha I'm kidding. They are wonderful and play a big part with our investigator.
Thrift store service on 9/11...gotta love America!

J is doing wonderfully! He drove himself all the way out to stake conference and stayed the whole time. He had his copy of the Book of Mormon and his manual for the other classes as well. It was great. :) He makes me so happy! Sometimes he doesn't understand things the first time we explain them but he gets them later and it is so exciting to see.

Our ward mission leader moved to a different apartment this week so naturally we got to help with that! And guess who had offered his trailer and car to help! YOU GUESSED IT... J! He had been there since 10am when we got there at 3pm and it was amazing to see what good fellowship can do! That's my plug to notice who the missionaries have brought to church. Go and meet them! Look for people around you that you do not recognize and greet them! They need your warm smile and love. :)

Some members from the ward helped him with his roof repair on Saturday and we feel like he is getting well integrated into the ward. It's perfect! We will teach him tonight and we hope it will be a big lesson to help him get more excited for his baptism! YAY!

What else, what else!?

We went on exchanges this week and I got to "take over the area!" We saw miracles, almost got attacked by a dog, and found two new investigators! Gotta love mission life. :)

A scripture I really liked is 1 Nephi 14:8. Take your question to the Lord. Strengthen your testimony. LOVE LIFE AND SMILE~!!! :)

Also, go/invite to see Meet the Mormons! I hear it should be great. :)

GREAT WEEK. I love being a missionary. Thanks for all the support and prayers. :)
