Quotes from departing missionaries:
1) "Use your time wisely."
2) "Our callings of representatives of Jesus Christ are more real then we can imagine."
3) "Lucky you."
4) "People can change. You can change."
5) "Bombard North Carolina with love."
You
really can feel the Spirit when the departing missionaries bear
testimony. It breaks my heart. It helps me focus to stay in the moment
because they seem so sad leaving. They have so many insights about
missionary work. The first comment came from my trainer's trainer. I am
going to miss her a lot. She was my sister leader for months and then
she got transferred. She gave me the biggest hug when I said good bye
and it was so sweet and sincere. I am so glad to be on my mission to be
able to meet so many amazing people. Being on a mission has allowed me
to make so many new friends and I am so grateful for that.
Ever heard of Bo'Jangles? It's so good. Get this.
You can get a biscuit at any time of the day! Sister B loves Bo'Berry
Biscuits!! And in reference to my Saturday
title, after our investigator passed her baptismal interview, we went
out and got a dozen of them! Southern Living! Just like the magazine!!!
hehe
Shout out to my friends with birthdays this week. Kylee and Sierra. Seriously. Have a great week!!!
Ash
sent me a package awhile back (SHOUTOUT) and Sister B and I put on our
most upbeat church songs and had a lil rave. It was so much fun.
Probably the most fun I've had in awhile. haha
ONE OF THE FUNNIEST PARTS OF THE WEEK. We were helping this family move and the kids brought us upstairs to "show us something." They opened the door and it was a skeleton sitting on the newly moved couch with leis wrapped around it. It was a SKULLATON (refer to my Georgia videos haha). Oh my goodness. No one got how funny that was to me. I should have brought a camera to take pictures of it.
Sister B is going to the beach.... yupp. I'm getting a new companion on Tuesday the 11th! I am so nervous! I assume I am staying in my area but I am not for sure on details yet! It should be a new adventure.
Sister B and I have set our goals very high for this week. We have the car. We have the determination. We have the investigators, potentials, and less actives. We are trying to make our last week together really good and meaningful.
The ward showed us so much love yesterday in
sacrament meeting. I know that the work is hastening in this area and in
the whole world. It is truly inspiring. I am so happy to be a part of
it. I know Sister B and I have been able to touch the lives of many
people here in Durham and I can't wait to continue to do so.
Pray for the missionaries. Pray for yourself to be a
missionary. Use your gifts and interests to bring up the gospel! That
is what Sister B and I will be teaching at Zone training this week!
I love life!
