I saw a pink limo in East Durham by the train tracks (aka one of the more ghetto areas of town). It was great and reminded me of home. Haven't seen a limo in awhile haha.
Sung in the ward choir. I have been doing quite the choir singing since I have been on my mission. Yes, I am still tone deaf. But who wouldn't want to do a little mindless singing once and awhile? haha
We had our ward Relief Society activity and it was a
cookie exchange, craft night, and service night. It was such a blast. I
had two cups of hot coco. And a snickerdoodle cookie. Snickerdoodles
are my favorite type of cookie. Oh yeah, and I had some scotch-a-roos.
Nothing better. I did this really tedious craft. I should of taken a
picture of it. It's this wooden block, spray painted black and we had to
modge-podge letters on it that read, "Wise men still follow the light."
Then there was a lil tiny candle glued to the top. I am giving it to an
investigator for Christmas tonight. We have three little presents
wrapped for them and we are watching Joy to the World for their Family Home
Evening tonight. It will be wonderful. :)
We had our ward Christmas party. It was really
cutely decorated and a lot of time and effort went in to make it a great
night. I guess not that many people brought the sides they had signed
up for. People were making jokes about how it really was feeding the
multitude just like the fish and loaves of bread did in biblical times.
Lawlzies.
Umm... I really don't feel like writing anymore.
Our
mission has had a new push to teach 20 lessons a week. We reached the
goal! It was a miracle. We got the chance to teach soooo much this week.
We looked for unplanned opportunities to share doctrine and pray with as
many people as we could. We taught someone a lesson after we helped
carry their groceries in. We taught someone as they rode by on their
bike (they stopped haha). It has been so great to be able to teach more.
We are going to start doing more active member lessons as well. It will
be great to be able to help the members feel the Spirit and help them
with their missionary work!
:)
Eccel 12:13! To wrap it up, fear God and keep the commandments. That's the main things you need to do. :)
Stay
happy this holiday season and reach out to someone so that they can
feel the love of their Savior. Just like Elder Ballard said, imagine how
many could be touched if each member did this before Christmas!
