Our Thanksgiving Branch (no further explanation was given??) |
We
were standing on our balcony taking a break from planning and I dropped
my planner off the side of the ledge on accident. It was hilarious. I'm
not sure if that's funny to everyone or not, but we laughed. A LOT.
haha.
One of our favorite families signed up for us to come over for Christmas. We are soooo blessed and so excited! :)
Quotes that inspired me this week:
"We encourage you to dedicate yourself to living the gospel with greater purpose than ever before." David M. McConkie
"Priesthood authority has been restored so families can be sealed eternally." Elder Nelson
"A grateful person is rich in contentment." Elder Bednar
"Sometime questions arise because we simply don't
have all the information and we just need a bit more patience. When the
entire truth is known, things that didn't make sense to us before will
be resolved to your satisfaction." President Uchtdorf
Which leads to one of my favorite scriptures: Mosiah
4:9. We really and truly don't know everything. That is obvious. But
God does. We need to wait for His timing. When His miracles should be
revealed, they will be. That is why we have a modern prophet!
We got to teach so many great lessons this week. I have felt the Spirit bear witness through me so much this week.
The biggest miracles of the week is a former investigator texting us and wanting to "study" again. He is moving out of our area but is miraculous to hear from him again! I am so excited for the missionaries in Raleigh to teach him. It is going to be fantastic. To quote him, " I know I am going to be a part of your church someday soon." haha I love him. There is a slight language barrier between us, so it is probably for the best he is moving! It is amazing to see the Lord preparing His elect children to hear the gospel.
We had a great lesson with a woman and set a
baptismal date for her! We were so excited and she was planning on
coming to church with her family and everything. Then she left town for
an unknown amount of time. Missionary work still goes on.
