"No effort is wasted."

Sorry my group writings are so short! I just don't know what all to write that would be interesting and uplifting for others to read! Here is my best shot for this week!

On Saturday, we got to go to the mission call opening of a girl in the D4 ward! It was amazing. Her mom had watched my video Sister P made for me and she loved it. She said she cried and watched it twice. haha She is so, so sweet. Anyway, enough about me... this girl is 19 and has gone on a lot of exchanges with us and just has the strongest testimony. She got called to the same mission as Breezy! It was so exciting! I love mission call openings. They are filled with the Spirit because of the desire the person has to completely serve the Lord. I loved it so much. Not to mention there was amazing french toast there for us to eat as well :)

Another miracle of the week:
We had someone contact us through a pass-along card! That had never happened before. Sister B and one of her prior companions had posed the question, "Has anyone ever been converted by a pass-along card?" and I thought that was so funny! We got to set up an appointment with this lovely woman we met and she is even going to feed us lunch on Saturday. I'm so excited. It was just one of those amazing miracles to know that we really are doing good out here. "No effort is wasted." That is one of my favorite quotes. It is easy to forget that sometimes when we hand out so many pass-along cards, pamphlets, and copies of the Book of Mormon. It was amazing to see someone exercise their agency and use one of the materials we had given them.

This week I have been studying about Joseph Smith and his time in Liberty Jail. My main source for this study was a talk by Elder Holland called, "Lessons From Liberty Jail." It was so interesting to read about all the miracles that happened in such a terrible place. Applying it to every day life, we need to remember that even when we are in the hardest times of our lives, we can have profoundly revelatory experiences, just as Joseph Smith did. We need to use our agency to let God help us. As we keep His commandments, even in the hardest of times, he will ease the burdens that we have. I know that to be true.

This week has been great and I look forward to the last week of my training! :) WooooOOO!!!!!!! This week I will officially have been a missionary for 3 months! Yay! :)
