What a fun week!

1. Sister B bought me my first "Bo-Berry Bisquit" from Bo'Jangles for my half birthday. It was quite the treat. Gotta love that NC stuff!
2. We gave a team talk on the importance of family history. Yes, a team talk... I had never done that before. It was a new and great experience. Our mission is really focusing on family history here and so we are getting a lot of training in that. Yes- I wish my mommy was here to show me all the cool features and stuff like that! Shoulda taken advantage of that while I could have!
3. Okay- super funny story. We knocked on a door that someone loosely referred us to. She barely even opened the door and we were trying to hear her through the screen door but it wasn't working out too well. We asked if we could share a message about Jesus Christ with her and she said," How long will it take?" We said we could do it in any short amount of time she needed. She let us in and we talked to her about the Restoration of the Church and her religious background. Then, at the end, we wanted to all pray together. (If you read M's blog, this will sound similar to an experience she had last week, so I thought that was pretty funny.) She had us all stand around in a circle and hold hands and I gave the prayer. We didn't really know what to do, so I just said the prayer and tried not to laugh with their interrupting "Yes, yes, yes" and "Hallejuahs." It was sooooo goood and funny and so unexpected. We can't wait to back and teach her when she gets back from her trip to Brooklyn, NY.
4. We rode the public bus for the first time this week. It was quite the experience. One of the recent converts that we have been teaching, C, walked us to the bus stop. We nervously got on the bus with not much clue of what to do. It was kinda scary, but sooooo funny. Sister B and I could not stop laughing. She asked a man what terminal was the main junction and he told us and then just laughed at us. We texted the Elders because they ride the bus all the time and they helped us navigate home. We had to make a bus transfer and we found ourselves in the heart of Durham. It was soooooo funny. Sister B and I wished we could have taken pictures to document our hilarious ride on the bus.
5. We had our training meeting with the President this week too. It was so uplifting and so fun to be able to get to see more missionaries. You guessed it, a LOT of roleplaying. We roleplay soooo much as missionaries. I am learning to love it. It is like the acting career I always wanted and never had (but only when you are the investigator in a situation because when you are role playing as a missionary... you really are a missionary!) We ate lunch together and it was quite the day of training. :)
6. We had a lot of new member lessons this week! It is so fun to work with the recent converts. They just have this special spirit about them. They are really wanting to learn and grow, but they already have testimonies of what we are teaching them!
Sister B's and I's Mottos
1. "Am I a blessing or a burden?"
2. Be Up and Doing." Alma 60:25
Sister B and I have sooooo much fun together and laugh so much. We have been trying to learn things about each other that we don't know. It has been so fun getting to know each other more.

Anyway, that's about it for this week! In the coming week we will be doing another exchange and we will have my first Zone Meeting! We will be starting online proselyting too! And we have the car this week! It is gonna be a great week!

Also, I love my bike. It runs so well and I tried to ride someone else's bike and it was terrible. haha
